Brite Futures - Jag in a Jungle
When I listened Brite Futures’ album, Dark Past, I had no idea that they used to go by the name Natalie Portman’s Shaved Head (the band who brought us Sophisticated Side Ponytail a few years back). It’s always interesting when you like a band a 2nd time but with a new name. It’s just like Mrs. Doubtfire, only less gender-bendy. Oddly enough, this is the second time that this has happened this week (the first time was with some guy by the name of “Yasiin Bey”).
So here’s Jag in a Jungle; a song that has fewer swear words and problematic jokes but is still very enjoyable nonetheless.

want this so bad<3
“I got this for my mom. She used to always read me the book Love You Forever by Robert Munsch. The repeated line in the book says, “I’ll love you forever. I’ll like you for always. As long as I’m living, my baby you’ll be.” I decided this tattoo was a nice dedication to her.
Done at Undercover Tattoo in Kingston, MA. I’ll be going there for all of my tattoos. They were awesome.”

You know that feeling? When you’re just waiting. Waiting to get home, into your room, close the door, fall into bed, and just let everything out that you kept in all day. That feeling of both relief and desperation. Nothing is wrong. But nothing is right either. And you’re tired. Tired of everything, tired of nothing. And you just want someone to be there and tell you it’s okay. But no one’s going to be there. And you know you have to be strong for yourself, because no one can fix you. But you’re tired of waiting. Tired of having to be the one to fix yourself and everyone else. Tired of being strong. And for once, you just want it to be easy. To be simple. To be helped. To be saved. But you know you won’t be. But you’re still hoping. And you’re still wishing. And you’re still staying strong and fighting, with tears in your eyes. You’re fighting.
